Sarah E. Gay graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing in 2005 from Duke University, Durham, NC. While in graduate studies, her emphasis was adult critical care receiving an Acute Care Nurse practitioner degree. Prior to her master’s studies, she was a critical care registered nurse for seven years specializing in Cardiothoracic critical care and Medical intensive care. Her undergraduate studies were received from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky in 1999.
Sarah E.Gay is Board Certified by The American Nursing Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is currently serving as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the University General and Trauma Surgery, P.C. at the University of Tennessee Memorial Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In 2005, Sarah E. Gay published an article in Dimensions of Critical Care Nursing focusing on the use of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) in the Adult intensive care patient.
