Dr.
Blaine L. Enderson, M.D.
graduated with his medical degree in 1980 from
the University of South Dakota. He completed a residency
in General Surgery at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in
1985. He then spent 2 years as an NIH Fellow in Trauma at the
University of Washington in Seattle, Washington before coming to the
University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville in 1987. Dr.
Enderson is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Tennessee and
serves as Chief of the Division of Trauma/Critical Care.

Dr. Enderson is a Fellow
of the
American College of Surgeons
and a Fellow
of the College of Critical Care Medicine.
He is a member of 25 medical societies, including the American
Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Association for Academic
Surgery, Shock Society, the American Thoracic Society, the Society for
Critical Care Medicine, and the Eastern Association for the Surgery of
Trauma. He served as President of the Eastern Association for
the Surgery of Trauma in 2002.
Publications
Dr. Enderson has published
over 100 scientific abstracts, articles, and book chapters and two
surgical films. He has received several grants to fund research,
including a grant from the Department of Commerce Technology
Opportunities Program to evaluate the use of Telemedicine in Trauma.
